About Tracey Timber

Tracey Timber Recycling Ltd was formed in 1995 to combat the large quantities of recyclable wood being sent to landfill in Scotland.

Our parent company, William Tracey Ltd, discovered after extensive research in Europe that a vibrant and sustainable market for shredded wood waste existed. Particle board manufacturers had been utilising the material to form chipboard products such as furniture and flooring.
Immediately talks began with the particle board manufacturers in the UK and the first supplies started to roll in.

In the year 2000, due to success in the particle board market, Tracey Timber Ltd invested in new machinery to expand the range of products on offer. It introduced "Decor Chip" in various colours as a longer lasting alternative to bark.

Tracey Timber Recycling now recycle 50,000 tonnes of wood per annum utilising a fleet of vehicles including curtain sided vehicles and 'roll on/off' containers to provide the service our customers need.
