Decor Chip

Only good clean pallets are used to produce our range of coloured mulch products which are branded under the name of DecorChip.
Process
After primary shredding, the woodchip is ground down further to produce a softer grain of chip, of average size 25mm.
Colouring
The material is coloured, using colourants imported from the USA, through a dedicated colouring machine. The colourants are manufactured from natural products such as mineral deposits and plant extracts and do not contain solvents or preservatives which ensures that they are 100% environmentally friendly and child safe.
Our range of colours includes green, red, brown and natural.

Case Study
North Lanarkshire Council use Decorchip extensively throughout their district. It is used on roadside verges, roundabouts, planted areas and around council buildings. The Motherwell Civic Centre is a prime example of the savings in time and money through the use of DecorChip. There are many planted areas around the centre itself and car parks, which previously required 13 planned maintenance visits per year to deal with weedkilling and weedpicking. Now that all the bare areas have been covered with DecorChip the visits have been reduced to two per year.
